Win an Etape du Tour Place!

RaphaWomens100

**THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED**

As you know, I’m making my first foray into cycling by diving in head first and taking on the Etape du Tour (baptism by fire?) – 130km through The Alps on July 7th. I’ll be riding as part of Rapha’s Women’s 100 initiative, designed to get more women on bikes.

Are you in the mood for a challenge? Fancy taking on the Etape too?

Well, here’s your chance!

Rapha have given me four places on the Etape du Tour to give to women who want to ride. You’ll be able to take in the energy of the #Womens100 and have an incredible experience cycling on this amazing route. It’s a truly once in a lifetime experience. I’m so excited to be training for it and doing it myself, not to mention being a part of Rapha’s team and I’d love for some of you to join me.

And that’s not all!

You’ll also get a pair of Rapha Women’s cycling shorts and a Rapha Women’s Classic jersey, so you’ll be fully decked out and looking the part.

So who’s up for it? This is a great chance to up your riding skills and be a part of something great. Registration figures for the Etape came out last week: there are approximately 11,300 men registered and only 700 women. Well, we want to add four more to the women’s side!

If you’d like to win one of these places, email me at hello@spikesandheels.com telling me why you want to take on the challenge.

Please note, travel and accommodation are not included in this prize. Please also note, these places are sought after, if you win one, you cannot back out, it is a significant physical challenge and you must be prepared to train and ride it on the day.

Rapha Women’s 100 is an initiative to get women all over the world cycling 100km on July 7th. Check out Rapha.cc/womens100 for more information.

I’ve been cycling for 12 years. I ride with a very competitive group of men ( I’m older than most of them) .they kick my butt and make me strong!
I’m almost 53 years old and cycling saved my life. I started cycling when I was 40… If I started in my 20′s or 30′s I would have raced…but I’m now too old…I think!
I love watching the Tour de France and I’ve never understood why they don’t have something like that for women…I would love to win Etape du Tour!!!!
It would be a dream come true!!
My story is on my website… Read and and you will really understand why I should win!!!!

This looks great! Unfortunately, I just injured my left foot a week ago and it caused me so much trouble in cycling. Right now, I am focusing on swimming practices since I am also preparing for the triathlon in the last quarter this year. I wish I could join you! Thanks for sharing! :-)

    Please, make it happen!
