Team GB 2012 Kit Unveiled

Well, it’s finally here. Stella McCartney designed the kit for the Team GB athletes at this year’s highly anticipated Olympics and this morning, that kit was unveiled. Playing strongly with the red, white and blue, though interestingly steering somewhat clear of the traditional Union Jack, Team GB will be strutting their stuff in this kit come summer. We’ve got to say, we were expecting something a little bolder. But what say you? Do you like the kit? Will Team GB rep the nation right in these threads?

Without being REALLY negative here, I do wonder why they needed Stella McCartney to produce the above. I wonder how much it cost too when I’m pretty sure that the project could’ve gone to an aspiring designer.

That said, I do think it looks great. Very smart and sleek.

    I love it. Cool Britannia!

In response to above, Stella would have been used in association with Adidas, as she has been designing with them since 2007? And given that she’s British, and designs the most amazing women’s sportswear, I think it’s a great choice!

Absolutely do not like it. I find the colour choice drab – why sub dull aqua when the sharp red and royal blue of the flag are absolutely perfect in an unadulterated form?

I suppose what matters most though is how they make the athletes feel. If the athletes feel like badasses in the clothes, then they will perform like badasses. Right? I wonder what *they* think.
