I get asked questions about running all the time, mainly about how to simply get started in it. I do what I can, answering emails and tweeting out 140 characters of advice here and there, but I figured it was about time I put all that info down in one place – an easy to follow beginner guide, if you will, to channeling your inner badass and hitting the streets. And so, over the Christmas break, I wrote a book!
Be Pretty On Rest Days – The Badass Woman’s Guide to Running guides you through your first tentative steps into becoming a running goddess. It looks at what’s holding you back, how to overcome your excuses, what you need to get started, how to connect with it emotionally, how to stay motivated and more.
My running journey is all over the internet for people to see. I went from total anti-runner, firmly attached to my couch, to some sort of crazed running preacher trying to convert everyone to my tribe.
